I, freakin', loved, Powerpuff Girls. Did then, slightly now. What I was a HUGE fan of though, was its drawing style, and a fan personal spinoff I did called the Powerpuff Teens, which had the Powerpuff Girls as, you guessed it, teenagers. (Which came BEFORE that one episode with them as teenagers. I despised the designs and characterizations with a passion. PPGStyle.com's versions were slightly better, but the characterizations pissed me off again. Don't start me on PPGz, btw, I'm not a huge fan of it either. )
So, what better way to blast into the past than with a REDUX? I always wanted to do this. Anyway, based off of the old designs lurking in my gallery of the PPGT, they're roughly around 14-15 years old, and most of their old personality still lingers with them.
The biggest differences from this new redux is the following: the hair and eye colour was reverted back to its lighter self, because genetics don't change colour as you age. (Well, hair gets greyer. True.)
Also, Blossom and Bubbles no longer have clothing clones. While Bubbles kept the same outfit as before, Blossom reverted to a shirt not exposing her midriff, and a black skirt with a red stripe on the side, as well as ditching the MJ's for some nice black shoes. Buttercup was given the same attire from before, but with a belt, and zipper sneakers.
Hair was also changed subtly. I added like one strand of loose hair to each of them. Blossom's hair was kept the same, while Bubble's got a bit of an extra curl to the tips of her ponytails, and Buttercup kept the haircut version of her in the old pictures. Jewelry was also added; this was a debate since I intended for B'cup to only have earrings (there was some idea where she got earrings secretly and the other two couldn't with permission until they were older)
, but I was like "pft they're older now
Bubbles was given that blue bead bracelet (which is seen in quite a few of her old pictures),
Blossom was given a watch, and Buttercup's wristband's colour was darkened, because bright green didn't work with the new green she was given.
I also LOVED the background.
I'm getting to be quite a fan of flat, bubbly psychedelics and whatnot. Links will be provided. ^^
